From 28.11.2019 to 01.12.2019, the 5th Bau + Wohnen trade fair will take place at BERNEXPO. Even though HP Gasser AG will not have its own booth at this important construction trade fair in Switzerland, the company will still be present.

At the Mobitec Sàrl booth, experts from HP Gasser AG will advise German-speaking customers and interested parties. There will be assembled the car shelter Tradition 510, which offers the best protection with an attractive appearance thanks to the membrane covering assembled by HP Gasser AG.

The cooperation between HP Gasser AG and Mobitec Sàrl already has a long tradition. In the membrane construction division of HP Gasser AG, sophisticated textile-based coverings are assembled, which, in addition to their absolutely weatherproof quality, also impress with their unique design with the highest durability. This fits perfectly with the car shelters and weather protection canopies that are part of the product range of Mobitec Sàrl.

For more than two decades, Mobitec has been proving with its products that space-saving car and bike shelters are a good alternative to the classic garage. Tested in the wind tunnel and proven thousands of times, these shelters are covered with membranes depending on the design, which are assembled at HP Gasser AG.

This alone is reason enough for HP Gasser AG to have entered into a successful distribution partnership with Mobitec Sàrl.

Particularly for customers from the German-speaking part of Switzerland, the experts from HP Gasser AG are the sought-after contacts at Bau + Wohnen in Bern when it comes to the timelessly beautiful and always modern car and bicycle stands from Mobitec Sàrl.

Also in this way, we are happy to be present with our expertise at BERNEXPO for Bau + Wohnen at the end of November to the beginning of December. Also because we know that successful partnerships with specialized companies are always a pledge of customer satisfaction.

Visit the Mobitec Sàrl booth at Bau + Wohnen Bern, booth C16 in Hall 2.2. We and the representatives of Mobitec Sàrl are looking forward to your visit.

The finalists for the Bausinn Award 2020 have been determined. After the call for entries and the review of the submitted documents, just 24 companies from the Swiss construction industry remain from the many applicants. Of these 24 finalists, however, only 15 will ultimately be able to enjoy the presentation of the Bausinn Award 2020.

One of the innovative companies in the building trade now in the final round for the special award is HP Gasser AG from Lungern/Obwalden. The family-run company is made up of three divisions. The roof window element construction, membrane construction and carpentry contribute equally to the overall success of the locally anchored SME and each in its own way focuses on tradition, progress and proximity to employees, business partners and customers.

Membrane construction is particularly in the public spotlight. After all, a wide variety of structures ranging from airdomes and facades to attractive shelters and shading systems are designed, built and assembled from a textile fabric tarpaulin. Such structures are often already visible from afar and not infrequently shape the appearance of entire structural and architectural ensembles.

But also the roof window element construction does not need to hide behind the membrane construction. Even if roof windows and partly large light bands are usually not easy to discover from the outside, they are part of the perfect building envelope and make high demands on functionality, technology and safety. And not only in view of the strict requirements of the Minergie standards in Switzerland. Perfect support for both divisions is provided by the carpentry division, which also supports traditional timber construction in Swiss architecture in particular in its very own projects.

HP Gasser AG applied for the Bausinn Award 2020 not only with a simple documentation in the form of a written application portfolio. The construction craftsmen from Lungern also proved that they are digitally fit with, among other things, an impressive digital application for the Bausinn Award 2020. The key point here is the HP Gasser Victory App, which serves as a modern and convenient interface for interested parties, customers and employees of HP Gasser AG and reveals the digital potential of the company.

In addition to the application in the area of digitalization, HP Gasser AG also faces the jury in the areas of innovation, employer and special project. In all areas, the company still has a refreshing flexibility, openness and ability to develop, even almost 30 years after it was founded. And this is certainly also because there are excellent existing networks that constantly project new ideas into the company and thus share in the success of the builders from Lungern.

Now it remains exciting whether HP Gasser AG will be in the final round of the Bausinn Award 2020 in February in the National Museum in Zurich. Because in the end, the prize will only be awarded 15 times. We hope, also to HP Gasser AG, which stands with its special achievements for Swissness and Swiss label, as hardly any other comparable company in the construction industry.

How modern airdome architecture and the fun of swimming can be combined is impressively demonstrated by the new airdome (HPG Memhall®) of HP Gasser AG in Zuchwil.

Specially for the Zuchwil Sports Center, HP Gasser AG has designed an HPG Memhall® that makes the fun of swimming possible even during the winter months. The 50-meter pool in the Zuchwil swimming center can be weatherproofed for this purpose with a largeHPG Memhall®. This provides the opportunity to swim laps on any day, even during the cold season.

The project was implemented by HP Gasser AG in the form of a modern airdome. In the process, the specialists from the company’s membrane construction division really did a great job. With a hall volume of 14,000 cubic meters and dimensions of 58 x 24 meters, the hall creates a generous space for recreational swimmers and athletes. The hall height of over nine meters creates space upwards and impresses with the airy expanse.

With the new HPG Memhall® from HP Gasser AG in Zuchwil, water temperatures of around 27 degrees can be easily maintained even in the winter months. The temperature in the room should still be slightly above this and is ensured by the waste heat from the nearby ice rink and by the supply of renewable district heating.

Every year in September, HP Gasser AG overbuilds the 50-meter swimming pool with the comfortable HPG Memhall®, ensuring full enjoyment until April. Then the pool will be available for ambitious athletes as well as for active recreational athletes. In April, the hall is then dismantled again and the pool looks forward to the numerous visitors in the summer season.

With the HPG Memhall® for the Zuchwil Sports Center, HP Gasser AG has once again impressively demonstrated what modern membrane structures and an efficient company can achieve. Those who until now knew an airdome only as a storage hall can be proven wrong here. Attached to the airdome, by the way, are separate changing rooms and catering facilities for the water sports enthusiasts. In the video you can also see the airdome project in detail.

By the way, when modern membrane construction projects go hand in hand with attractive recreational facilities, it always brings a benefit to the people and athletes in the region. Just like the HPG Memhall® of the Zuchwil Sports Center, which already documents what HP Gasser AG is capable of because of its imposing size.

In Azmoos, Wartau municipality, a new school building will be constructed by summer 2020. The old school building Feld was already demolished in 2018, making way for the new building, which in addition to the school with nine classrooms will also house a gymnasium and a kindergarden. Currently, the kindergarden is still located across the street from the construction site. With the new building will be a modern school building, which will offer at the school site field, place for children from Trübbach and Azmoos.

The new school building in Azmoos is by no means a boring or standardized construction. Before the implementation was started, there was a Europe-wide project competition, which was finally won by the young Berlin architectural office Felgendreher Olfs Köchling. The architectural office Gauer from Azmoos took over the construction management.

A key architectural element of the new school building is the five ridge rows, each 40 meters long. A total of six light bands in the roof structure, which are consistently aligned to the north, will then provide attractive daylight in the new building. On the opposite south side, efficient photovoltaic elements will provide for the generation of solar power. An interesting aspect of this will be that the continuous rooflights will be skilfully matched by HP Gasser AG to the appearance of the solar power systems, so that an attractive and uniform appearance can be achieved. But that was not the real challenge.

Impressive mass requires a high degree of prefabrication

More important than the eventual appearance will be the functionality of the light bands. And these impress with the dry numbers alone. A total of 194 Roto Q-4 roof windows are installed, which are mounted in ready-to-install elements of varying lengths. The necessary shading systems are already integrated. A total length of 165 meters is divided into 24 individual elements, which have already been prefabricated ready for installation at the HP Gasser factory in Lungern. Depending on their length, the individual elements consist of five to ten roof windows. The transport to the construction site was of course handled by the company’s own fleet of vehicles, and the experts at HP Gasser AG are also the sought-after and experienced specialists for the installation of the skylights on the roof of the new school building.

Thanks to the high degree of prefabrication and the ready-to-assemble element construction method, up to 60 meters of continuous rooflight could be installed directly on the construction site in just half a day. This made the installation of the roof window elements efficient and ensured that construction progressed quickly.

It is also worth noting that all the wishes and suggestions of the architects can be professionally implemented already in the planning stage but also directly on the construction site. Also with this, HP Gasser AG sets clear signs in the roof window element construction for professionalism, flexibility and a high degree of innovation.
