HP Gasser AG is bringing even more daylight to its proven airdomes – even to existing ones. The in-house innovation is made of lightweight ETFE film and opens up entirely new perspectives for indoor athletes and spectators; from the action outdoors and from outdoors to indoors.
We are proud to meet the needs and wishes of our customers with the newly developed panoramic hall and provide more visibility in the winter sports season. Especially because we remain true to the lightweight construction and the characteristics of the airdome thus remain unchanged. This also preserves the efficiency of assembly and disassembly, as recently demonstrated impressively the premiere at the Wohlen Tennis Club.
HP Gasser AG in Schaffhausen has implemented an all-round pleasing project in the area of roof windows. An innovative solution for access to the flat roof was required for the new construction of an apartment building on the outskirts of the city. Each of the four penthouses has a roof terrace with an area of around 30 m2. Thanks to the customized roof exits with verasonn® sliding glass windows, the roof terraces can be accessed without obstacles and comfortably. Thanks to the flexible construction method, individual and versatile glazing elements can be planned and manufactured. In Schafhausen, for example, in addition to the proven HPG insulating frame, an assembly with integrated supply and exhaust air as well as an electricity and water connection was integrated. Thanks to the HPG roof exit, the new residents can enjoy their roof terrace and a wonderful view over the Munot town.

The FEBA company in Kägiswil manufactures window sills and facade components. The company’s employees need good lighting conditions in their work areas. HP Gasser AG was allowed to design and install two rooflights for the flat roof of the new company building. As a template, ridge elements consisting of approx. 40 individual glasses each with a metal substructure were envisaged. This would have resulted in a construction time on site of several days. Our solution included two elements about 15 meters long, each with 15 VELUX® Modular Skylight modules. The modules are mounted on the proven HPG insulating frame made of wood, which is much lighter and thermally superior to the planned steel construction. Another advantage is that the two elements were prefabricated and delivered as finished components. At our plant in Lungern, we are able to manufacture elements of this dimension regardless of the weather. Special transport and a crane were organized to transport the elements, which weighed around four tons and were 15 meters long. The assembly of the ready-prepared elements could be implemented within two hours to the full satisfaction of our customer.
On August 31, the IFA Berlin started in the German capital; the world’s leading trade fair for consumer electronics and household appliances. The CityCube Berlin congress arena stands in the middle of this 150,000 square meter trade fair landscape. Four years ago, HP Gasser AG helped to create its light, self-contained appearance with an enormous membrane façade.

But that’s not all: since then, Messe Berlin has repeatedly commissioned us to temporarily replace the covering on the two front sides with advertising banners “made in Lungern” during the electronics trade fair. Within a few days, 2,200 square meters of membrane fabric were removed and replaced. When it came to replacing the worn-out original fabric after the IFA 2018, we at HP Gasser AG were called upon once again. This trust in our competences and qualities fills us with pride. For this, a heartfelt thank you to Berlin.
