The plumbing company Prétôt SA from Le Locle has been working with HP Gasser AG for around 20 years. When it came to renewing the rooflights during a flat roof renovation project in the summer, the specialists from Lungern were quickly on board. And they did so on the time-honored roof of the metal processing company Robert Laminage SA, which was founded in 1836. In just one day, the 10 old glass domes (70 m2 in total) in Le Locle were replaced by HPG oecoline vario® elements with integrated sun protection. This also ensured the sealing of the flat roof over the valuable machines during the entire construction phase. After the regular three-week company vacations, Robert Laminage SA was then able to resume its work in bright and well-insulated rooms.

It is often an energetic weak point in the building envelope and yet it is needed: the craftsman’s exit. Reason enough for HP Gasser AG to develop a Minergie-compatible roof exit with optimal thermal insulation (U-value 0.2 W/m2K). The HPG craftsman’s exit is available in the basic version with dark flap and manual opening as well as electrically opening and with glass cover. Of course, special designs far from all standard dimensions up to completely hidden ladder modules are also possible without any problems.

HP Gasser AG has been building airdomes for more than 20 years now – in Switzerland as well as abroad. Even then, the first projects were realized with small windows integrated directly into the fabrication. Since then, our task sheet has repeatedly included the request for window surfaces that can be integrated into large areas – a challenge that we meet with our “panorama hall”. What was originally planned for a swimming hall in 2014 and remained a concept, we were able to turn into reality this year for the Wohlen Tennis Club: an airdome with a view. The chosen solution consists of lightweight ETFE foil and opens up completely new perspectives for indoor athletes and spectators; from the playing action to the outdoors and from outdoors to indoors. We are particularly proud of the fact that we remain true to the lightweight construction with the large row of windows and thus also to the characteristics of an airdome – a decisive advantage during assembly and dismantling.

After more than 340 performances, the 2018 annual tour of Circus Knie traditionally ends before Advent. The tents are assembled and disassembled about 40 times per season. 60 helpers need about 6 hours each time. Soon, all material will be stored in the winter quarters in Rapperswil-Jona. Before that, however, the big “winter service” at HP Gasser AG in Lungern is still pending: Here, the 8-piece chapiteau, each weighing 4 tons, are currently being dried, checked and repaired if necessary. This is more or less all done by hand. The same applies to the rest of the material such as extension and nostalgia tents. Our 6 meter wide washing and drying plant is used for the roof tarpaulins, curtains and gable tarpaulins. Thus, from March 2019, it is again in clean “garb”: “Manege frei”. And it will be for the 100th anniversary of Circus Knie.
